ADR Codes

In June 2001, the Group signed a depository agreement with The Bank of New York, under which the issue of Level-1 ADRs for MMC Norilsk Nickel shares was initiated. Custodial services for ADR transactions are rendered by the depository of ING Bank (EURASIA) ZAO. ADRs were converted into Company shares at a 1:1 ratio till February 19, 2008.

Since February 19, 2008 ADRs are converted into Company shares at a 1:10 ratio.

ADRs are traded on the over the counter (OTC) market in the United States, in electronic trade system of over the counter sections on the London Stock Exchange (IOB) and Berlin-Bremen Stock Exchange (Freiverkehr).

As of December 31, 2009, the total number of ADRs issued in exchange for shares of Norilsk Nickel amounted to 581,473,120 ADRs or approximately 30.5% of the Company's issued share capital.
