Nornickel’s Kola Division in Russia is represented by Kola MMC, a wholly owned key production site. Kola MMC is Nornickel’s nickel refining hub, located on the Kola Peninsula, the Murmansk Region.
The Kola Division develops deposits located within a 25 km stretch between Nikel and Zapolyarny in the west of the Murmansk Region. The Division mines disseminated copper-nickel sulphide ores containing nickel, copper, and other valuable metals.
The mined ore is processed at Zapolyarny Concentrator, with the resulting copper-nickel concentrate then supplied to Kola Division enterprises in Russia and Finland.
The precious metals produced by the Norilsk Division are refined at Krastsvetmet, Urals’ Innovative Technologies, and Prioksky Plant of Non-Ferrous Metals under tolling agreements.
