Established in August 2020, the Department is in charge of mitigating the environmental footprint of the Company ’s facilities, as well as improving health and safety from the environmental perspective.
Stanislav Seleznev, Director of the Environmental Department, will be responsible for coordinating environmental initiatives, developing an environmental management system and ensuring its proper functioning, implementing Nornickel ’s environmental policy, creating and carrying out environmental monitoring programmes in the Company’s regions of operation and at all Norilsk Nickel companies.
“Any industrial operations affect the environment. Minimising negative impact means responsible environmental behaviour, which Nornickel undoubtedly fosters,” said Stanislav Seleznev.
Mr Seleznev has an extensive track record in health, safety and environmental protection (HSE).
In
Stanislav Seleznev graduated from the Chemical Faculty of Lenin Higher Naval Engineering School (VVMIU) in St Petersburg with a degree in Chemical Engineering. In 2013, he was awarded an MBA degree from the International Management Institute of St Petersburg. In 2014, he graduated from the Perm National Research Polytechnic University, majoring in Safety of Technology Processes and Production.
