Effective Work Strategies.” The forum focused on crisis management and risk mitigation for large businesses in a volatile economic and social environment in the world.

The conference was attended by the heads of the relevant departments of major Russian and foreign companies (Rosneft, Uralchem, Rosseti, Almaz-Antey, GAZ GroupPublic Joint Stock CompanyPublic Joint Stock Company "Mining and Metallurgical Company "Norilsk Nickel"Go to the glossary "Mining and Metallurgical Company "Norilsk Nickel” and its subsidiariesGo to the glossary, Russian Post, and X5 Retail Group).

Particular attention was given to corporate security for companies with geographically diversified operations and assets located in special conditions. Nornickel is one of these companies, said Roman Gudov, Director of the Corporate Security Department.

According to Roman Gudov, the scope of the Company’s operations and its high social responsibility require the smooth operation of all security chains of its entities. This takes into account such special factors as the geographical remoteness of facilities, the special operation conditions of telecommunications, and seasonally restricted water transportation. “They are not just factors for us, they are a reality that determines our corporate security,” he said.

In addition, Roman Gudov spoke about how Nornickel’s Corporate Security Unit interacted with private security companies, in-house security forces, and law enforcement agencies.

“Public-private partnerships are the best legal form of cooperation between the government and business in the area of security,” Roman Gudov said. “We are active in cooperating with the government in all areas, including providing anti-terrorism protection for facilities, combating illicit trafficking in precious metals, and ensuring IT infrastructure security.”

The audience also demonstrated interest in the Company’s experience in creating a cluster of economic and social security in Bystrinsky GOK under Nornickel’s strategic project in the Trans-Baikal Territory.

Nornickel’s innovative security projects presented at the forum were included on the decision-making list that will be made after the conference and recommended for use by other Russian businesses.
