Nornickel-SSC recognised as the Best Multifunctional Centre

On March 25th, the winners of CFO Russia and Prosperity Media’ annual competition The SSC of 2020 in Russia and the CIS were announced in Moscow. The jury named Nornickel-Shared Service Centre the winner in the category Best Multifunctional Centre noting the high level of the company’s development. Among the contenders for the award were multifunctional centres of the largest Russian companies in various industries.

In 2015, the Company embarked on a project to create Nornickel-SSC on the basis of the existing service provider, with transactional services launched at seven pilot facilities. Just a year later, Nornickel-SSC received the 2016 Best SSC Launch award by CFO-Russia.ru.

Today, Nornickel-SSC provides over 450 types of services to 58 Nornickel enterprises. The wide offering not only highlights the multifunctional nature of the centre, but also testifies to its role for the Group. Currently, Nornickel-SSC performs

  • transactional and expert functions that are traditional for SSCs, such as accounting and tax reporting, treasury, HR, online administrative support;
  • IT function. The core IT team of Nornickel is part of the SSC implementing innovative projects and supporting the Group’s digital transformation;
  • Production engineering and industrial automation. These are non-standard services for an SSC intended to support the production processes of Norilsk Nickel.

The SSC team serves more than 67,500 employees of Nornickel enterprises in 7 Russian regions and 17 cities on a 24/7 basis.
