Nornickel has allocated 4 billion roubles for the upgrade of production assets at Kola MMC in 2021. More than 6,800 units of various equipment will be delivered to the company’s divisions, most of it will go to the Severny mine.

A large-scale delivery of primary and auxiliary self-propelled equipment is expected in the second half of 2021. Nornickel’s miners will receive 14 units of equipment worth 764 million roubles. Earlier, the company received new equipment for the launch of remote controlled self-propelled drilling rigs.
There is a great amount of work to be done in the Chemical and Metallurgical Workshop. Nornickel has allocated about 300 million roubles for the purchase of new press filters, a reactor, and other equipment.
In summer 2021, the company expects to renew equipment at its unique carbonyl nickel department. Expenses for the replacement of high-pressure receivers will amount to 118 million roubles. More than 54 million roubles will be allocated for the purchase of personal gas analysers for production personnel at Kola MMC.
The systematic renewal of machinery and equipment is a crucial part of improving productivity and safety of production processes at Nornickel’s Kola Division.
