Nornickel purchases 25 Swiss made ECG machines for ambulance services

NornickelPublic Joint Stock Company "Mining and Metallurgical Company "Norilsk Nickel” and its subsidiariesGo to the glossary has purchased 25 brand new ECG machines made in Switzerland for a total of RUB 9 m for three ambulance stations in Norilsk. They are set to replace discarded ECGs.

Schiller Cardiovit AT-10 Plus electrocardiographs are small, high-capacity, multi-purpose ECG machines looking more like ordinary tablets. The ECGs can be set up in seconds and easily and quickly brought to patients in a grave condition. Apart from that, the devices are more durable than their counterparts and will last longer.

The new equipment has already been tested, and healthcare professionals are distributing the devices to ambulance stations and crews. Doctors will undergo training in the near future.

According to experts, electrocardiograms can be taken in any environment: in an apartment, in a car, and in the street. Besides, the devices can operate for about ten minutes even in extreme cold weather conditions.

Nornickel has allocated over RUB 20 bn to combat COVID-19 in its regions of operation.
